I got a weird fascination with stripes. It started when I worked as a sous chef in a little parisian bistro. I used to lay down the pasta in straight lines using a ruler. My chef called Jean Jaques de Loraine asked me to stop doing that and I really tried but couldn’t. Something in me couldn’t accept the imperfect chaos of wrinkly pasta and I got into a fist fight with chef de Loraine. He was much bigger than me so he won. I did call his mother a b*tch on the way out. HA!!!! I never worked as a sous chef ever since.
